Starling

A seedling from Avon Bulbs, possibly G. elwesii x G. Hill Poe. First shown at RHS Spring Show in 2014. It is very recognisable with a star-like quality due to the effect of the flower being held on a very short pedicel leading to one looking more directly into the very green inner segments. The outer segments are quite long, rather pointed and boat shaped. Very long lasting in flower. Strong and robust grower. Emerges early, flowers mid season.
