Beschreibung
This snowdrop was discovered by Mark Brown in his employer's garden in La Berquerie in Varangeville. Named for Brown's employer, who let him completely remodel the garden. The garden is (was) home to the National Snowdrop Collection of France. Apparently the succeding owner had no interest in snowdrops and the garden in that form does not exist anymore. Galanthus ‘Philippe Andre Meyer’ belongs to the group of the so-called "Trym-types", the progeny of the famous Galanthus ‘Trym’. It is very similar in appearance to Galanthus ‘South Hayes’, somewhat smaller, but significantly more vigorous. The green lines on the outer petals can vary widely in their form. They are sometimes connected, sometimes split into two separate spots. Late.
