Hippolyta

One of the Greatorex clan of double snowdrops (mostly with Shakespearean names and often quite difficult to tie down; Hippolyta is a character in "A Midsummer Night's Dream") this is one of the most stable and distinctive. Neatly double with well-rounded flowers and not too tall over broad glaucous foliage. Clumps thicken up quite readily. 1940s. Emerging early, mid-season flowering.
