Cowhouse Green

Found by Mark Brown in Rushmere, Buckhinghamshire, in the late 1980s. Green tinted snowdrops have always elicited attention and this, one of the earliest, is no exception. It is quite a tall plant, with quite broad, pale lime-green lines towards the ends of the outer petals. The area in between is stained with the same green in a gradient that fades gradually into the area resulting from the adjacent line. The effect is entrancing. Mid season. Sensitive to deep long frost.
